Koppenberg Boulder (1st Race)

This race was sort of a spur of the moment thing for me. I was looking around online, and I'd been getting sick of training without any racing. But as a kickoff to the season it was a great success; I was able to hang with the pack, I rode a strong constant pace, and I actually passed some people. Maxxis tires kept me glued to the gravel roads and Sports Garage gave me moral support out there today. Of course Skratch Labs kept me well fueled. My result of 29th place out of 44 is not to be taken in a bad way, this result aided by a crash on the first lap in front of me showed me that I could still hang in there and definitely improve throughout this year!
